KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT CLEAN, BOLSTER YOUR IMMUNITY, AVOID CONTAMINATED FOODS AND DRINKS, KEEP YOUR BODY CLEAN INSIDE - OUT, BE CAUTIOUS WITH THE USE OF ANTIBIOTICS, Don't Sleep, Rest Enough
- KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT CLEAN
Disease germs thrive in a dirty environment. We all have a duty to keep our bodies, clothes, foods, water, toilets, kitchens, and indeed everywhere around us very clean. This is both a personal and national duty. We Nigerians don't seem to appreciate the necessity for keeping our environment clean. Our cities and towns are like one huge mass or refused dump! Our highways are littered with refuse and our waste disposal machinery is almost non-existent. It is high time we all rallied round to take this as national emergency. We all have something to contribute towards achieving a clean environment. We can all, at least, keep our homes and offices clean. It is in our collective interest.


- BOLSTER YOUR IMMUNITY
The immune system protect and prevent us from infections and other pathogens in the natural. It is when germs are able to  overwhelm our immune system that we come down with an infection. Otherwise, our immune system would have dealt with the germs before they take root in our bodies. There are things we do that weaken our immune system and there are things we can do to bolster our immune system. Appropriate amount of sleep, a balanced diet, stress management etc. Can help to strengthen our immunity. There are certain food items and herbs that help to boost our immune system such as Vitamin A, C, and E, Garlic, Echinacea and the mineral selenium. Eating a lot of fruits in season helps to protect out bodies from disease.

- AVOID CONTAMINATED FOODS AND DRINKS
Food poisoning can occur if we ingest contaminated food. Our raw foods in particular must be well washed before we ingest them. Fruits and raw vegetables in salads must be properly cleaned. Our water must be well purified before drinking. Water-borne disease are common place in Africa. We therefore need to be sure of our water source and its purity. Foods that have been left to grow moulds, etc, should never be consumed. Freshly prepared meals are better and healthier.

- KEEP YOUR BODY CLEAN INSIDE - OUT
The outside of our body must be kept  lean by cleaning our finger nails, washing our hand after using or visiting the toilet, taking our bath regularly and so on. We must adhere to some simple rules of hygiene as well by washing our hands very well before eating or touching anything that someone would eat or drink. We should have regularly bowel movements daily, that is the release if waste from out body. This will happen if we drink enough water daily, eat high - fiber foods, and avoid highly processed and refined foods.

- BE CAUTIOUS WITH THE USE OF ANTIBIOTICS
When we take antibiotics, the medication does not know the differences between good bacteria and bad bacteria. It simply goes ahead to kill and wipe out all bacteria in our system, good and bad! Once the bad bacteria are killed, the bacterial infection clears up and we are happy. But then, we have just greater a new problem.

WE WEAKEN OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM WHEN WE:
- Stress Ourselves
- Don't Sleep
- Don't Relax or Rest Enough
- Don't Exercise.
- Allow Harmful Emotions such as Anger, Worry, Depression, Rage and so on.
- Malnourish our Bodies.
- Abuse out bodies with Immune System Suppressants such as refined sugar, high fat food, alcoholic beverage and so on.
