Deputy Governor robbed at gunpoint
Mr. Eliud Muriithi, The deputy governor of Tharaka Nithi in Kenya was reportedly ambushed by one of his personal bodyguards who went on to rob him.
Confirming the incident, He said the bodyguard who is also an Administrative Police (AP), threatened him with a pistol in his house in Kinoru, Kenya and took away the sum of Sh3.5 Million (about N11.8 million) from him. The bodyguard identified as Constable Josphat Kipyegon armed with the bag full of money, escaped from his house.
