12 suspected criminals arrested
Police Command in Akwa Ibom arrested twelve suspected criminals for cultism, rape, robbery and kidnapping. While parading the suspects, Mr. Murtala Mani, the State Commissioner of Police, who spoke through the Command's spokesperson Cordelia Nwawe, warned that no form of criminality would be condoned in Akwa Ibom.
According to Thisday news, Nwawe said the suspects were found with 3 locally made pistols, 2 cartridges, 7 sophisticated mobile phones, locally made firearms, one long double barrel gun, and charms. 2 young men who specialize in the removal of solar energy batteries on the streets of the state have been arrested.
Mani also disclosed that 1 from Mathew Atsenga, 27 from Konshisha local government area of Benue state who collected his friend’s vehicle to drive only to sell it to a buyer in Makurdi local government areas of Benue State, Daniel Usuk, aged 45, has been arrested with the buyer.
