Regardless of your kid’s age, you, as a mother, should always teach your children never to stop learning new things. Summer is all about playing, parties and fun activities. You can encourage your child various valuable lessons while enjoying a grateful summer season.

  •  Reading books
Reading books are the best summer learning activity for every kid who can already read books alone. Reading at home may be little bit boring activity while reading books at a library may seem more appealing to your kid. Parents should encourage their kids to like reading books as earlier as possible. It does not mean buy a lot of books; it means to spend 3 days in a week reading at your home library.

  •  Natural beauty of the world
I usually hear kids saying, “What a bad weather today,” “It is pointless to watch the birds flying,” “Going to a park is just a waste of time.”  Well, I cannot blame those children for saying those things and I cannot judge their parents, but I think parents should encourage their kids to enjoy the natural beauty. Summer is the best season to encourage your kid to fall in love with natural beauty or nature. You should encourage your kid to love and like insects and animals.

  • Farming
When I was a kid, my grandfather never allowed me to assist him on the farm. He said that this activity isn’t for kids. My father had another point of view and he involved me in all aspects of farming almost every day.  He taught me how to plant maize and grow vegetables and fruits and it always interesting for me to spend a good time on the farm. I am so thankful to my father for this lesson. Every summer my family enjoys fresh fruits we grow ourselves. If you have a farm, let you kid assist you to plant vegetables, flowers, and fruits. Not only will they learn some farming skills, they will also have the experience how to eat healthfully.

  •  Exercise
There are various ways to exercise as a family, especially during the hot weather. Lunges, swimming, jumping rope, running, squats, hiking and jogging are all wonderful options, but keep in mind that you exercise with your kid so do not overdo it. Kids should know that eating fresh vegetables and exercising are the best way to live longer and stay healthier. My family likes natural beauty and kids have a great chance to see new animals, birds, and plants.

  • Local Museums
Museums aren’t as popular they were 15 – 30 years ago, but they are wonderful places to assist your kid in learning various interesting things, such as science, space, music, history and art. This knowledge activity is good for rainy days and suitable for kids of all ages. I do not know about your museums, but there are various museums that open their doors free so you do not need to spend money before you enter to teach your little ones.

When you show a good example to your kids, it easier to encourage your kid to be active, read books, eat healthily and like nature.
